Seeing as Spike didn't have enough dust on his boot, Spanky and I loaded up to remedy that situation. We did something that we haven't had time to do in quite a few months - get lost. Spike was itching for it as much as we were I believe. He was made for days like this after all...

Spanky with his gift mound. I'll spare you of all the bed head photos, I think Spanky liked his presents and is currently defending some 3rd world country or something equally as brave as that while sitting on the couch via his Wii.
Hubs tended to think that Spanky wouldn't be up too too early this morning -- well Spanky proved him wrong and was at our bedside at 6:40. It doesn't matter how old you get I suppose, the wonder of Christmas morning will always be. Blessed we 3 are to be together!

Hubs purchased Spanky and I matching Chuck's! YES! While the matching part only lends to the color and not the amount of canvas it took to make these cool shoes, I am just tickled!

Now if Chuck would just put a wedge heel on these puppies I'd be set.

While taking photos of THE TREE the camera caught some of the sunrise...

Which led me outside with camera in hand.

The strong winds were still pushing the clouds along -

And as the sun peeked out, it cast and orangie yellow hue on everything it touched -

I turned around and just about peeed my jama's!

Happy Days!

My how time does fly. This year has been rather eventful. Colin grew several inches, lots of photos were taken, many movies made, felt the music, laughed till I couldn't breathe, cried till I couldn't see, wore those big girl panties and just rode that huge roller coaster of life. I do wish everyone a very happy holiday season and I think 2010 will be a very good year. It's an even numbered year after all...
I'll leave you with a little musical cheer.

The above is what happens when it's a friends birthday-Tennessee is winning-great food is consumed and my beloved Apple is within reach.
Behold the greatness. I know you're moved beyond words. But just appreciate the beauty. I believe the subtle hints of lighting and convergence of colors and elements really make the above treasures very award worthy. A black frame to ground the motion would truly complete these works of art. My best yet.
